DESCRIPTION This unit offers practical training in Audiovisual Translation (AVT), with a specific focus on subtitling. Subtitling facilitates linguistic and cultural access to audiovisual content by adding intralingual or interlingual captionson screen. Students gain expertise in translating and adapting media content for subtitling purposes. They learn the entire process, from creating a timed template to translation, quality control, quality review, and post-editing procedures.

They learn to apply global standards and conventions, comply with specifications and guidelines, and familiarise themselves with client expectations, professional workflows and deliverables. Students practise subtitling with cloud-based professional tools.
